Aim – To provide financial and practical help to Families with Children in Aberdeen (via the Health Visiting Service).

Health Visitors have identified a gap in the provision of resources from the State and voluntary sectors, highlighting that even when resources are available the application process is cumbersome, time consuming and provides too little too late.

Health Visitors in Aberdeen, are qualified Nurses with an additional qualification in Child and Family Health. They are employed by NHS Grampian and are in contact with every family with children under school age. As part of their core duties, Health Visitors assess the needs of children and families; they are therefore ideally placed to direct resources where they are needed most.
